Toa Payoh Sports Hall, Sunday, August 22, 2010 – Singapore put up a brave attacking display against Japan early in the first set, but finally succumbed to a straight-set loss of 9-25, 16-25, 9-25 in the women’s volleyball tournament.

This is their second straight defeat and they will have to play in the 5th and 6th place classification match on Wednesday August 25th.

The game saw captain Joelle Lim winning the most number of successful spikes for Team Singapore, with eight spikes in total.
