Laos, Saturday, December 5, 2009 – Singapore drew 2-2 with Indonesia in their opening Group B game of the SEA Games football tournament.

Safuan Baharudin gave Singapore an early 7th minute lead through a header and Shaiful Esah doubled the lead with a cross that the Indonesian goalkeeper misjudged.

Indonesia pulled one back just before half-time through Stevie Bonsapia after Singapore captain Isa Halim failed to clear.

The momentum shifted in favour of Indonesia in the second half and it was no surprise when they equalised in the 64th minute through Rensy to ensure both teams shared the points.

In the other Group B match, Laos and Myanmar drew 1-1.

Singapore will next take on Myanmar on Tuesday, December 7th.

Water Polo

Laos, Saturday, December 5, 2009 – Singapore beat Indonesia 14-5 to get their defense of their Water Polo gold off to a good start.

Singapore have won 22 straight SEA Games Water Polo golds.

Singapore will take on the Philippines tomorrow.

The Filipinos beat Thailand 6-4 in the other round robin game today.
