Incheon Asian Games Swimming Joseph Schooling

South Korea, Thursday, September 25, 2014 — After his record-setting race in the 100 metre butterfly final, Joseph Schooling added a silver to Singapore’s medal haul at the Incheon Asian Games, when he finished second in the 50 metre butterfly final in 23.70 seconds.

China’s Shi Yang edged Schooling to claim top spot in a Games record time of 23.46 seconds, while Yang Jungdoo of South Korea clinched the bronze medal with a timing of 23.79 seconds.

Schooling had earlier finished with the third-fastest swim of 24.10 seconds in the heats.

Schooling now has a gold, a silver and a bronze medal, recording podium finishes in all of his individual butterfly events.
