South Korea, Sunday, September 21, 2014 — Singapore beat Palestine 2–1 but did not qualify for the Round of 16 at the Asian Games after results in another game did not go their way.

Singapore finished third in Group C. Only the top two in each group qualify.

Palestine won the group with a 2–0–1 (win-draw-loss) record while Tajikistan (2–0–1) finished second to qualify along with them.

Singapore lost their opening game 0–1 to Tajikistan. They followed that up with a 3–3 draw with Oman before their final win over Palestine to finish with a 1–1–1 record.

Thailand, Vietnam, and Indonesia are the only Southeast Asian countries to qualify for the Round of 16.
