Chung Cheng’s no.11 goes for a layup against Anglican High in an East Zone semi-final
I am not a basketball player but in the last few weeks while covering the school basketball games as a photographer, I must say it is one of the more exciting sports to watch as a spectator. Since I cannot shoot a basket even if they doubled the size of the hoop, I am always in awe when you athletes charge down the lane and do your lay-ups. And I sometimes even forget to take pictures when I see some of you drop those 3-point shots. Awesome.
So I’m glad that the Co-Curricular Activities Branch (CCAB) of the Ministry of Education has taken the trouble to organise an all-star game at the Singapore Basketball Centre on Thursday and Friday, 15 and 16 March 2007.
As far as I understand it, each of the 4 school zones will field an all-star team and play a round robin league on Thursday. On Friday, the top two zonal teams will play in the final and the last two zonal teams will play off for third and fourth.
The address for the Singapore Basketball Centre is 601 Aljunied Crescent #01-04 (beside Geylang Swimming Complex).
