OCBC Aquatic Centre, Sunday, December 21, 2014 — At the recently-concluded National Swimming Championships, 16 swimmers met the Southeast Asian (SEA) Games qualifying marks in their respective events.

Headlining the 16 were siblings Quah Ting Wen and Quah Zheng Wen, who, together, met the SEA Games qualifying marks for a combined 10 events and were crowned the competition’s most valuable female and male swimmers respectively.

But with two more qualifying competitions next year — a time trials in February and the Singapore National Age Group Swimming Championships in March — ahead of the SEA Games in June, the 16 swimmers will still need to ensure their times remain amongst the top-two fastest in their events by the end of the qualifying window to ensure they get to represent Singapore.

The overall team champions were the Quah siblings’ Swimfast Aquatic Club.
