India, Thursday, October 7, 2010 — Singapore’s Jasmine Ser and Aqilah Sudhir continued their medal-winning form when they picked up the silver and bronze medals respectively in the 50m Rifle 3-positions event.

Jasmine and Aqilah had combined to win the gold in the equivalent pairs event earlier in the week.

“All I wanted to do just now was concentrate, focus and shoot my best. Maybe coming into the final round in fifth place helped me because there was no pressure on me. All I wanted to do was push myself to the limit,” said Jasmine.

“The pressure was always going to be on me to maintain my position at the top going into the final round. But I tried not to let it distract me or make me lose my focus. I started out well in the first few shots but then the next few went off a little. I’m just happy my final shot ensured that I win the bronze,” said Aqilah.

The shooters have contributed a total of two gold, two silver and two bronze medals so far.
