Jurong Country Club, Singapore, June 25, 2008 - Lam Chih Bing weathered a rain delay on the third and last day of the TGT Challenge to win the 3rd leg of the OAAG Golf Tour last month.

The TGT Challenge was held from 23 - 25 June with 72 professional golfers playing for a total prize purse of $33,000.

Going into the final round with a two-stroke lead, Chih Bing looked set to extend his winning margin when he came out of the front nine with three birdies. However, a 30 minute rain delay saw the greens slow down, resulting in three bogies for Chih Bing to finish at even par for the day.

M. Murugiah, who started the round in second place, was not able to keep up and ended with a two-over 74 for the round and joint-second place with Tomoo Bise who shot the day's best score of 68.

Chih Bing maintained his lead with an even round of 72 by making three birdies on holes 2, 4 and 6, and three bogeys on holes 12, 14 and 15.

He said, "I am very, very happy about winning the TGT Challenge. I managed to build a pretty good lead and then I probably got a bit too comfortable and started missing some putts coming in. This was a great win and I will be coming back to play the fourth leg of the OAAG Golf Tour at Keppel Club in July.

It's been a really good and enjoyable week and I think it is a good preparation for The British Open. I've been working on a few things and it's good to be able to come out and play some competition to gauge where I am."

Being Singapore's sole representative at this month's British Open from July 17th to 20th, sponsor Nu
Era and the Singapore Professional Golfers Association were impressed with his performance this week and followed suit with OAAG by stepping forward to present him with cheques to support his trip to Royal Birkdale.

Nicklaus D'Cruz, CEO of OAAG, commented on the support coming in, "It's very heart-warming to see sponsors come forward to financially assist Chih Bing and OAAG Golf Tour. We started OAAG Golf Tour to develop our own local golf talent and it is only through support like this that we can keep the Tour growing to new heights."

The next leg of OAAG Golf Tour takes place from July 22nd to 25th at Keppel Club and the final tournament will take place from October 28th to 31st at the Singapore Island Country Club.
