Toa Payoh Swimming Complex, Sunday, September 29, 2013 – Singapore went down 14–15 to Sri Lanka to finish last at the 3rd Asian Youth Water Polo Championship. Singapore finished the Championship winless in five games.

In the opening round, Singapore were grouped with India, Kazakhstan and Indonesia.

Singapore went down 5–12 to India in their opening game and lost their next one 7–14 against Indonesia. In their final group game, Singapore went down 2–22 to Kazakhstan who eventually finished third.

In the quarter-finals, Singapore faced eventual champions China and lost 5-27 which led to their final game against Sri Lanka.

China beat Japan 11–5 to win the Championship.

The top three countries – China, Japan and Kazakhstan – qualified for the 2014 FINA World Youth Water Polo Championship to be held in Istanbul, Turkey.
