Austria, July 15-17, 2011 — The Singapore national tchoukball team won the Under-15 World Youth Championship. This was the first time the boys were playing in an international event.

Nine countries — Austria, Brazil, Taiwan, Great Britain, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, United Arab Emirates, Singapore — took part in the championships.

Singapore sent teams for the U-12, U-15, U-18 and girls’ U-18 categories.

The U-12 boys finished with a bronze while the U-18 boys were fifth. The U-18 girls finished just out of the medals in fourth.

Singapore will be planning to take part in the World Tchoukball Championships in Ferrara, Italy, from August 4th to 7th, 2011. The world championship will see Spain, France, Philippines, the Czech Republic, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Switzerland taking part.

Singapore are aiming for a podium finish.
