Republic Polytechnic, Tuesday, July 5, 2011 — Singapore defeated Malaysia 47-38 in the final of the 3rd ASEAN Schools Games netball competition. Singapore led 25-16 at half time.

Singapore had lost 31-34 to Malaysia in an earlier preliminary round game.

Singapore started off strongly in the first quarter by establishing an 11-point lead over Malaysia. Despite a strong fight back from Malaysia in the next two quarters where Singapore were outscored 8-10 and 10-12 respectively, our girls never relinquished the lead and led by seven points (35-28) going into the fourth quarter.

A 12-10 fourth quarter ensured the gold for Singapore.
