National Sailing Centre, August 17, 2010 – Singapore’s Audrey Yong leads the Girls Techno 293 Windsurfing Class at the sailing event of the Youth Olympic Games.

She achieved 4th place in the first race, but clinched 1st in the second. She is tied with Israel’s Naomi Cohen and Italy’s Veronica Fanciulli at 5 points.

However, she is ahead of them due to her clear victory in the second race.

Singapore’s Darren Choy claimed 5th position in the Boys Byte CII Class, after finishing 6th and 10th in both races respectively.

Just van Aan Holt of the Netherland Antilles came in 1st in the category after a 2nd and 1st place finish.

In the Girls Byte CII Class, Singapore’s Natasha Yokoyama also came in 5th, finishing her two races in 6th and 7th place respectively.

It is Germany’s Stolz Constanze who leads the category with a 1st and 2nd place finish.

Kieran Martin of Great Britain leads the Boys Techno 293 Windsurfing Class with a 1st and 2nd place finish.

Racing resumes tomorrow, Wednesday, August 18th.
