Kallang Netball Centre, Saturday, June 28, 2008 - Zenith beat Republic Polytechnic 1 (RP 1) 53-38 in a Division 3 Netball League game last week to remain unbeaten in their division.

A belligerent Team Zenith showed good understanding and communication throughout the game, especially their GK and GD. They knew what the other was going to do and covered up for each other. Their strong defence put RP1 under a lot of pressure, forcing them to pass high because they could not make short ones. By the end of the first quarter, Zenith led 11-6.

Zenith continued their swifts and tactical play to make sure they had a comfortable lead. Zenith intercepted numerous RP1 passes to give themselves further chances to attack and score. RP1 continued to persevere and keep possession and they scored 10 points in the second quarter but Zenith still led by 13 points at half time (24-16).

The intensity of the game rose when RP1 started to gain some penetration with short passes as Zenith grew exhausted exhausted. Unfortunately for RP1, their GS got injured in the middle of the third quarter. Zenith started to commit more fouls as they grew more frustrated but they managed to maintain their scoring to wear down RP1 and eventually win 53-38.

N.B. The competition is also known as the "Energizer Netball League".
