Singapore, June 19, 2008 – Golfer Lam Chih Bing was presented with an $8,000 cheque from OAAG to cover the cost of his trip to the UK where he will compete at the British Open with the best in the world at Royal Birkdale. OAAG is now into its second year of sponsoring Chih Bing who is Singapore's number two golfer and plays on the Asian Tour. Lam Chih Bing recently qualified to play his second consecutive British Open this year after finishing in the top five at the qualifying tournament earlier this year at Sentosa.

He said, "I am very excited about having the opportunity to play in the British Open this year and am extremely grateful to OAAG for its continued support of my career. This trip will be a fantastic experience for me and I hope to build on the success I have had so far this year, and put in a good performance at Royal Birkdale.

It is great that my schedule will allow me to play in the TGT Challenge and I am expecting a tough fight as the other players are out to get their hands on one of the trophies!"

OAAG Golf Tour 2008 announced its third leg today with a new sponsor coming on board and confirmed the remaining events for 2008.

The TGT Challenge will tee-off at Jurong Country Club (JCC) from June 23rd to 25th with 70 players competing for the trophy and share of the S$30,000 prize money.

OAAG CEO, Nicklaus D'Cruz was joined at JCC by title sponsor Seeto Keong and co-sponsors PureChem and Canopus Inspection and Technical Associates at today's press conference to share the news.

Nicklaus said, "We are now at half way point of OAAG Golf Tour 2008 and are delighted to have the support of Seeto Keong with the TGT Challenge. Without sponsorship, this Tour could not happen and most of our local golfers would not get the opportunity to take part in professional competitions.

I am also pleased to announce that our inaugural champion Lam Chih Bing will be available for the tournament next week so we are all set for a fantastic three days of golf as our two champions - Lam Chih Bing and Justin Han – go head to head!"

New sponsor Seeto Keong under the tournament title, TGT Challenge said, "OAAG Golf Tour is a tremendous platform for professional and top amateur golfers in Singapore to play at a high level and it provides continuous competition throughout the year. It is vital for the growth of the golf scene here and I am proud to be able to help OAAG make this third leg possible."

Justin Han, winner of the Flying Club Challenge in April has been invited as one of the top amateurs from Singapore Golfers Association along with Jonathan Woo who finished in second place at The Flying Club Challenge.

The remaining legs of the tour have now been confirmed. Keppel Club will play host from July 22nd to 25th and the final tournament will take place from October 28th to 31st at the Singapore Island Country Club. It is hoped that sponsors will come forward to support OAAG and SPGA in their efforts to give local talent a professional tour in order to hone their skills and provide a platform for regular competitive events.
