National A Div Floorball Final (Boys): VJC avenge group stage loss against RI to clinch title in tight 2-1 contest

Beaten 1-3 by much-fancied Raffles Institution (RI) in the group stage, the boys from Victoria Junior College (VJC) made sure to approach the A Division floorball final against the same opponents with a renewed focus and strategy. And they executed their game plan to perfection this time round, hitting the 2018 champions twice on the counter via Ammar Harith (VJC #25) and Anas Abdullah Baeesa (VJC #87) to emerge 2-1 winners and reclaim the championship trophy their school last lifted in 2017, and its fourth since 2009.

National A Div Floorball Final (Girls): TMJC dethrone defending champs VJC to seal first title since merger

With all still to play for in the A Division girls' floorball final against defending champions Victoria Junior College (VJC), Tampines Meridian Junior College (TMJC) coach Jatin Nair sent out a rallying message to his charges during the second interval: "The team is only as strong as the relationships within the team." It was a recurring theme that had driven the TMJC girls throughout a short four-month run-up to the competition, and they duly delivered on court to come out 2-1 victors in the final, sealing the school's first title since the merger between Tampines and Meridian JCs.

IVP Floorball (Men’s): NTU seal gold with 6-0 win over ITE to become double champs

Nanyang Technological University (NTU) floorball captain Amshar Amin (#9) concluded his four-year run for the school in style as he finished the final with a thundering hat-trick under his belt and a gold medal to match. The boys went against Institute of Technical Education (ITE) to demolish them in a 6-0 victory during the Institute-Varsity-Polytechnic (IVP) floorball final. The boys displayed fierce domination in the floorball scene by securing both titles as champions of IVP and the Singapore University Games (SUniG).

IVP Floorball (Women’s): Champions NTU continue unbeaten run with 2-0 victory over RP

Nanyang Technological University (NTU) completed their close-to-perfect Institute-Varsity-Polytechnic (IVP) floorball season with a victory over Republic Polytechnic (RP). The girls dominated the match with a 2-0 win and only had smiles at the end of the match as they were crowned 2019/20 IVP champions.

IVP Floorball (Men’s): Slew of early goals brings SMU to semi-final after 6-2 win over SP

Singapore Management University's (SMU) offensive edge carried them to a 6-2 win over Singapore Polytechnic (SP) during the Institute-Varsity-Polytechnic (IVP) floorball championship. The final group match saw SMU through to the semi-final and knocked SP out of the championship.

IVP Floorball (Women’s): NTU upsets TP winning streak in 5-0 victory

In a top-of-the-table clash, National Technological University (NTU) toppled POL-ITE champions Temasek Polytechnic (TP) with a hustle that resulted in 5-0. Both teams fought hard as the results would determine their opponent in the semi-final of the Institute-Varsity-Polytechnic (IVP) floorball championship.  Despite the scoreline, it was no easy win for NTU. Countless shots at goal were taken by Low Jing Hui (TP #48) and Vanessa Poch (TP #36), of which were all accurately saved by NTU's keeper Shermaine Goh (NTU #52). This resulted in the clean sheet that would then prove their domination.

National A Div Floorball (Girls): TMJC clinch third place with 3-2 win despite third-period CJC fightback

For both teams, the National A Division floorball season started and ended the same way. In their first match of the preliminary round, Catholic Junior College (CJC) took traditional powerhouses Tampines Meridian Junior College (TMJC) by surprise in a tight 1-1 draw. This time, however, TMJC managed to maintain their prowess with a 3-2 win and clinched third position while CJC followed in fourth.

National A Div Floorball: RI smash 8 goals past porous RVHS defence to clinch third place

In the last match of their run in the National A Division Floorball Championship, Raffles Institution (RI) went all out against River Valley High School (RV) during the fight for third placing. Despite failing to retain their championship title this year after a loss to Victoria Junior College in the semi-finals, RI did not lose heart but rather took control of the game to deliver an 8-0 result.
