Football powerhouses Hong Kah Secondary School secured their spot in the National B Division School Premier League 2 Football final after beating St. Joseph’s Institution (SJI) 2-1 in the semi-final.
It came down to each school’s fourth-fastest B Division runner – ACS(I) had Joshua Loo in 11th, while HCI’s George Lai was 15th.
With nothing but pride to play for, St. Joseph’s Institution (SJI) and Woodlands Ring (WR) Secondary School played out a six-goal thriller where the former emerged 4-2 winners.

This win also meant that SSP runners Lucas Lim, Mohd Haziq and Reuben Lee broken both the 4x100m and 4x400m record in one day.
Dave Tung of SJI came in second in 6:48.06 while Ruben S/O Loganathan of Guangyang was just 0.33s behind in third with a 6:48.39.
The top three runners all made strong finishes to the race, with gold and bronze only separated by 0.59s.
A hat-trick by Akash Chandra (#10) helped RI bounce back from defeat in style, defeating SJI 5–0 to claim the championship bronze.
