Clementi Sports Hall, Friday, July 1, 2016 — Swiss Cottage Secondary defeated Jurongville Secondary 51-16 to remain undefeated in the West Zone C Division Basketball Championship.
Swiss Cottage improve to a 2-0 win-loss record with the win. They won their opening game of the season with a 44-21 victory over Hwa Chong Institution (HCI).
For Jurongville, this is their first loss and they drop a 1-1 record. They narrowly beat Hua Yi Secondary 42-41 in their opening game.
Swiss Cottage’s unbeaten record is matched by Jurong Secondary in Group C. Jurong beat both Hua Yi (63-36) and Zhenghua Secondary (63-24).
The two unbeaten next play each other in a top-of-the-table clash with the winner well placed to win the group.
Jurongville’s next game is against HCI who are 1-1 after their comfortable 82-8 win over Zhenghua on the same day.
Other Group C action will see Hua Yi, who also went down 36-63 to Jurong and have a 0-2 record, take on Zhenghua in their next game.
