Choa Chu Kang Stadium, Friday, April 12, 2013 — Samuel Chin of Raffles Institution (RI) won the B Division high jump gold when he cleared 1.97 metres at the 54th National Schools Track and Field Championships.

With the gold in the bag, Samuel attempted but failed to break the divisional record of 2.01m set by Woon Ta Wei, then of Chinese High, in 1998.

This was Samuel’s second gold of the meet, after having won the B Division long jump event earlier.

Lee Jia Yi of Hwa Chong Institution was second with 1.84m while Bryan Wong, also of RI, was third with 1.80m.
