18-year-old Jeolinita Yeo of Victoria Junior College had another round of sweet triumph when she bagged her second gold medal of the championships. Jeolinita had earlier won the triple jump gold as well.

It didn't start off too well for the jumper as she struggled to only sixth place in the first round. By the end of her sixth and final jump, however, she had propelled herself to the top spot with a jump of 4.96m, beating silver-medalist Hsien Li Jie of Hwa Chong Institution by a mere 9cm to clinch the gold medal. Ang Shi Ting of HCI came in third with a jump of 4.70m.
