Choa Chu Kang Stadium, Wednesday, July 18, 2007 – Singapore Sports School won all the sprint relay golds they were competing for at the recent Inter-School Track & Field Championships at Choa Chu Kang.

In the ‘C’ Division, the Sports School boys established a new championship record with a time of 44.93 seconds, leaving St Joseph’s Institution and Victoria School trailing in second and third place. The girls of Sports School also established a clear superiority when they finished first in 50.60, almost two seconds ahead of Nanyang Girls’ High. Cedar Girls’ came in third.

In the ‘B’ Division Final, Sports School were made to work much harder for their golds by Hwa Chong Institution (HCI). The Sports School boys finished first in 44.06 while HCI were just behind in 44.72. Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) were a close third in 44.95. In the girls’ final, Sports School beat out Nanyang Girls to win in 49.52 while Cedar Girls’ were again third.

In the ‘A’ Division Relay Finals, Raffles Junior College won both golds. The RJC boys edged out Victoria Junior College and Millenia Institute, the three teams finishing within 0.68s of each other. The girls’ final was also a close one, with RJC just inching ahead of HCI and National Junior College to finish in 43.26.
