There cannot be a more dominant athlete on the school sports scene now than Zachary Ryan Devaraj. The Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) (ACSI) track star put up an inspired display of front-running, leading his B Division 1500m race from start to finish, and clocked a time of 4min 12.61 seconds to better the 11-year-old mark of 4:14.13, set by Kannan Poobalan of Victoria School (VS) in 1999.

Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) ran out 8-7 winners over defending champions St Andrew's Secondary this afternoon to wrestle back the B Division Rugby Championship title. The Saints led 7-3 at half-time.
The championships concluded with an HCI triumph over their closest rivals SAJC and ACS(I), who finished second and third respectively. More importantly, the HCI team finally brought back the coveted trophy after nearly a decade-long quest to herald a new era.
