Decisive early tries by Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) helped the boys from Dover Road secure a 24-5 victory in the C Division final over perennial rivals St. Andrew’s Secondary School. With the win, ACS(I) complete the grand slam for 2022, having won both the A and B Division titles earlier in the year. Independent also extend their winning streak at the C Division to 5 consecutive championships since 2016.
Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) book a spot in their 27th straight C Division rugby final, after beating brother school Anglo-Chinese School (Barker Road) 61-0 in the semi-final.
Greenridge Secondary School (GSS) emerged the B Division Rugby Bowl Champions after beating Evergreen Secondary School (EVG) with an aggregate score of 29-20 in the final, while Junyuan Secondary School (JYSS) finished in third place against Bukit Batok Secondary School (BBSS), winning by 41-0. In the Cup category, St. Andrew’s Secondary School (SASS) finished second runners-up, after dispatching Raffles Institution (RI) 55-22 in the Cup 3rd/4th placing match.
In a stunning season-long comeback, Raffles Institution overcame the odds to emerge the A Division girls' softball champions, defeating Hwa Chong Institution 2-1 after an extra sixth inning to win the championship for the first time since 2012. RI previously lost to HCI in the group stage via mercy rule, with a 0-10 scoreline.
In a heart-stopping final, Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) defeated Raffles Institution by a single unconverted try, to claim their seventh straight title as their parents and friends watched from the stadium stands.
Tries from Tycen Yeoh (#26) and Eric Chi (#15) helped Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) to a comfortable 76-5 aggregate win over St Andrew’s Junior College in the A Division Rugby National School Games semi-final.
