Temasek Polytechnic, Wednesday, November 9, 2016 — Nanyang Polytechnic defeated Temasek Polytechnic 3-2 to win the Polytechnic-Institute of Technical Education (POL-ITE) Touch Football Championship.
With both teams undefeated heading into this game, it was NYP that came through to secure the title.
NYP finished the season with a perfect 5-0 win-loss record, with wins over Singapore Polytechnic (7-1), ITE (13-1), Ngee Ann Polytechnic (10-0), Republic Polytechnic (3-1).
NYP scored 36 tries over the five games, which matched the number of tries scored by TP and SP combined.
TP finished second with a 4-1 record, with wins over NP (3-2), RP (2-1), ITE (10-1), and SP (3-2).
SP finished third with a 2-1-2 record, with wins over NP (2-1), ITE (9-1), and a draw with RP (2-2).
