MOE (Evans Road), Monday, July 11, 2016 — Peirce Secondary defeated Bukit Merah Secondary 64-17 to remain undefeated in the South Zone C Division Basketball Championship.
The win gives Peirce a perfect 3-0 win-loss record and top place in their group, as well as a spot in Round 2.
Bukit Merah finish their season with a 0-3 record.
Peirce find themselves in a Round 2 group that includes Anglo-Chinese School (Barker Road), Guanyang Secondary, Kuo Chuan Presbyterian Secondary, Outram Secondary, and Mayflower Secondary.
ACS (Barker) (3-0) and Guangyang (4-0) finished top of their respective Round 1 groups while Outram (2-1), Mayflower (2-1), and Kuo Chuan (2-1) were runners-up in theirs.
The other Round 2 group consists of Holy Innocents’ High (4-0), Raffles Institution (3-0), Fairfield Methodist School (3-0), St Andrew’s Secondary (2-1), Kent Ridge Secondary (2-1), and Queensway Secondary (3-0).
Fairfield Methodist registered the only triple-digit scoring in Round 1 when they beat Balestier Hill Secondary 118-6.
