Bishan Stadium, Tuesday, April 30, 2013 — Lucas Lim of Northland Primary beat Chua Zhi Lii of Gongshang Primary by 0.61 seconds to win the C boys’ 100 metres gold at the 54th National Inter-Primary School Track & Field Championships.

Lucas, who is 11 this year, clocked in a time of 13.24s. It was Lucas’ first time competing in the National Track and Field Championships.

“I am very surprised and I would like to thank my team and coach for their support all the way through,” said the 11-year-old.

Zhi Lii took home the silver in 13.85s, while Joel Tan of St. Stephen’s School won the bronze in 14.05s.

The C boys’ record is 12.12s and was set by Kang Yee Cher, then of Fuhua Primary, in 2009.
