Bishan Stadium, Friday, April 19, 2013 — Mohammad Shaqeer of Northland Primary won the first place in the D Boys high jump event after holding off stiff competition. He cleared a height of 1.21m to finish ahead of Sembawang Primary’s Loh Lun Jie, who cleared a height of 1.19m.

Josiah Tan from Nanyang Primary finished in third with a height of 1.13m while Ken Hayashi of South View Primary and Timothy Teo of Temasek were joint-fourth after clearing a height of 1.10m.

Meanwhile, the second day of competition saw yet another record fall, this time during the 600m C Boys’ Heats. Reuben Rainer Lee of Temasek Primary lowered the record of 1 minute 49.04 seconds set by Gary Wee of Greenwood Primary in 2009 to 1 minutes 46.66 seconds. Just last year, Reuben had also broken the 600m D Boys’ record.

In the B Boys’ Shot Put event, Sebastian Ong of Red Swastika School took the first place after his throw of 11.60m. St Stephen School’s Clarence Chan was second with a distance of 10.83m while Lam Wei Xuan of Anglo-Chinese School (Junior) was close behind with a throw distance of 10.48m.
