Choa Chu Kang Sports Complex, Monday, April 15, 2013 — Kugapriyad D/O Chandran of Singapore Sports School clocked 25.79 seconds to take the B Division 200m gold medal at the 54th National Schools Track and Field Championships.
In second place was Nur Maisara Bte Razlee of Ahmad Ibrahim Secondary in 27.02s, while Janine Lim of North Vista Secondary was third in 27.31s.
The B Division 200m record of 25.64s was set in 2012 by Eugenia Tan Yan Ning, then a Singapore Sports School runner.
It was a straightforward race with Kugapriyad taking the lead right from the start. Maisara maintained her second spot while Janine had to put up with a strong challenge from Sarah Nadia Bte Aidil Tamzil of Sports School. Sarah finished just 0.07s behind.
