Choa Chu Kang Stadium, Wednesday, April 20, 2011 — Karthik Muthu s/o Supramanian of Seng Kang Secondary edged out the competition to win the 5000m walk at the 52nd National Inter-School Track and Field Championships. He came in with a time of 29 minutes 4.02 seconds to take gold in this inaugural race.

Arjun Kunnasagaran of the Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) was second with a time of 29 minutes 25.33 seconds while Samuel Wong of Hwa Chong Institution was third with a time of 29 minutes 45.33 seconds.
