Another group of death beckons in the West Zone for the 2008 B Division Basketball Championship.
Last year’s C division semi-finalist Jurong Secondary will take on rivals Jurong West Secondary in a mouth watering clash in Group B. New Town Secondary, which has just transferred to the West Zone from the South Zone this year, find themselves plunged straight into a cauldron. These three schools, along with Choa Chu Kang Secondary and Hong Kah Secondary, will fight it out for only two qualifying spots for the next round.
As for the girls, traditional favourites Nanyang Girls’, Jurong Secondary and Unity Secondary should find qualifying from the first round relatively straightforward.
All matches will be played indoors at the Clementi Sports Hall commencing Wednesday, January 16.
