BASKETBALL

Story by Red Sports reader Ian Chew.

The highly anticipated South Zone basketball groupings are out! A total of 28 schools are participating in the boys B Division while 12 schools will compete for the girls honours.

Boys Group A is an interesting group to look out for as traditional South Zone rivals Raffles Institution and Catholic High are pitted against each other.

Another interesting group to watch out for is Group E, where any of four schools Queenway Sec, Yuying Sec, ACS (International) and Peirce Sec are in with a shout.

On the other hand, seeded teams like Raffles Girls School and Singapore Chinese Girls School looks set to cruise into the semi finals.

The matches will begin on Thursday, January 16, at the Co Curricular Activities Branch at Bukit Timah.
