Roy Ang of Hwa Chong Institution bagged the gold medal with a height of 3.80m at this year’s National Inter-School Track and Field Championships.

He was followed by Jacob Yao of Catholic High with the silver at the same height, and Ang Guo Jun of Victoria School with the bronze at 3.70m. Jacob had previously broken the national Under-17 record of 4.05m with his jump of 4.10m at the 1st All-Comers Track & Field Meet earlier this year on the 18th of March but was unable to reproduce his remarkable feat at Choa Chu Kang Stadium, clearing only 3.80m. Despite matching Roy Ang, Jacob lost the gold on a count back.
