Xinmin Secondary, the volleyball powerhouse of the North Zone, have qualified for both the ‘B’ and ‘C’ Division zone finals.

Captain Jaryl Too, 16 years old, of Xinmin Secondary practices his setting.

Coached by veteran Mr Ang Kwan Meng, Captain Jaryl Too and his team mates have put in a lot of hard work.

"We practice 3 times a week, 3 hours each time," said Captain Jaryl. "We need to work on our teamwork and cooperation because volleyball is a team game."

Having won the North Zone Finals once, Jaryl Too and his team mates will come up against Sembawang Secondary in tomorrow’s B Division finals at Yio Chu Kang Sports Hall.

When asked what struck him most about Sembawang, he said, "They’re tall.  But they have no defense."

The Xinmin ‘C’ Division boys have also qualified for the North Zone Finals and will meet Yishun Town Secondary.
