Mr Lim Tiang Quee – teacher, coach and “grandfather” to his athletes

Mr. Lim was a former national record holder for long jump (1954), a teacher and a national coach (1968-1985). After retiring from teaching and as National Coach, he dedicated his time to his passion in coaching school athletes. Now at the age of 79, he coaches CHIJ Katong Primary, Paya Lebar Methodist Primary, Yangzheng Primary, Paya Lebar Methodist Secondary, Jurong Secondary School and Serangoon Junior College.

SAJC spoil the NJC party, allowing ACS(I) to capture A Division canoeing title

Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) won their first-ever A Division National Inter-School Canoeing Championship title at the expense of six-time winner National Junior College last week. It was a two-horse race for the Boys A Division championship title between ACS(I) and NJC with both schools well represented in the various finals.
