In Monday’s basketball action at the adidas It Takes 5ive Tournament, Jurong West sealed top spot in Group D with a perfect 3-0 record by beating St Andrew’s 55-33. In the battle for second spot in the same group, Kent Ridge edged out Temasek 34-31 to secure their qualification for the quarterfinals.

In Group E, Yishun beat Woodgrove 45-36 to secure top spot with Woodgrove finishing as runners-up. Henderson beat Yio Chu Kang 33-25 in an inconsequential group fixture to at least salvage some pride and finish third.

In Group F action, Bedok North made sure of second spot with a comfortable 56-14 win over ACS(Ind) to join group winners Yuying in the quarterfinals.

In Girls’ Group A action, Bedok Green went top of their group with a 56-25 win over Compassvale to confirm their place in the quarterfinals. Over in Group B, St Anthony’s beat Queensway 47-19 to put themselves in a good position to qualify for the quarterfinals. Bedok North beat Naval Base 30-23 to even up their record at 2-2 and must now wait for other results to determine whether they can qualify for the quarterfinals.
