Hougang Sports Hall, Monday, March 28, 2016 — Bukit Merah Secondary (BM) beat Anglo-Chinese School (Barker Road) 6-3 in Round 2 of the National B Division Floorball Championship. The win gave Bukit Merah top spot in their group with 13 points and a spot in the semi-finals. They were unbeaten in all four Round 2 games. ACS (Barker) did not win any of their Round 2 games.

Soh Ming Sheng (BM #6) and Abdul Hakeem S/O Abdul Jaleel (ACS(BR) #7) were joint top scorers in the game with three goals each.

Abdul Hakeem (ACS(BR) #7) scored two goals in the first period to give his team a 2-0 lead.

Bukit Merah made their comeback in the second period. Within a minute of the restart, Soh Ming Sheng (BM #6) hammered a shot clean into the net. Teammates Nicholas Siew (BM #17) and Safiuddin bin Salleh (#20) rode on the momentum and scored a goal each shortly after to help Bukit Merah power ahead 3-2.

ACS (Barker) fought back and managed to even up the score at 3-3 through Abdul Hakeem (#7) going into the last period.

However, Bukit Merah were too strong in the final period, with Ming Sheng (#6) scoring two of the three unanswered goals to wrap up the 6-3 victory.
