Hougang Sports Hall, Wednesday, February 17, 2016 – Northbrooks Secondary (NB) maintained their winning streak with a 8-1 victory over Hillgrove Secondary (HG).

This was their fourth consecutive win in the National B Division Floorball Championship. Hillgrove, on the other hand, have won only one out of four games.

Edry Suhairry Bin Rosman (NB #10) was the top scorer with six goals, while Muhammad Rusyaidi B Eruwan (HG #17) had one.

Northbrooks showed their dominance as they bagged two goals just a few minutes into the game. Northbrooks set a fast pace, with Hillgrove struggling to keep up. With Hillgrove’s strong offense, Hillgrove were forced to spend most of their time keeping Northbrooks at bay.

Trailing 0-3 at the start of the second period, Hillgrove’s unrelenting efforts eventually saw them score a goal in the second quarter to break their egg.

Northbrooks led 7-1 heading into the final period and added another goal to wrap up an 8-1 win.

Northbrooks captain, Muhammad Abdul Raziq (#13), said, “I feel that today’s game was not up to our standard, there were some negativity between our team. Despite so, we as a team, talked to each other and motivated each other. That was what that pushed the current scoreline to 8-1, and I feel very proud for the team for winning the match today.”
