Anglican High School, Monday, March 2, 2015 — Chung Cheng High (Main) held on to defeat Dunman High 39–36 in the East Zone B Division Girls’ Basketball Championship to clinch third.
Dunman High’s Tan Hui Xiang (#7) and Tabitha Tay (#14) led all scorers with 10 points each, while Guan Mingxia (#9) led Chung Cheng with nine points.
Chung Cheng got off to a hot start, as they knocked down three treys to take the early 12–5 lead, courtesy of Eleana Teo (#14) and Bella Chong (#7), who had two of the treys.
However, over the next three quarters, Chung Cheng quietened down on offence as Dunman High matched them point for point. Led by Tan (#7) and Tay (#14), Dunman outscored Chung Cheng by a four-point total in the frame, but it was not enough to whittle down the seven-point deficit, allowing the latter to escape with a three-point victory.
