Singapore Basketball Centre, Friday, July 4, 2014 — Anderson Secondary (AND) beat Naval Base Secondary (NBS) 58–14 in the North Zone C Division Basketball Championship.

Anderson now top the group with three straight wins while Naval Base has lost all three of their games.

Neither teams were able to score any points early in the first period. Anderson finally put the first points on the board about four minutes into the game. Naval Base responded with a basket of their own shortly after. Anderson were able to gain a 14–2 lead going into the second period.

Anderson picked up the pace in the second period, scoring 16 points while holding Naval Base to six points, extending their lead to 30–8.

After a low scoring third period, Anderson came back to score 20 points in the fourth period to secure the 58–14 win.

Anderson captain, Rajvir Gill (#13) said, “We played well.”

Top scorer, Sean Ng (AND #8), said, “We made good passes and our confidence contributed to this win.”

Cedric Cheo (AND #15) added, “Our offence was strong today.”

Naval Base will next face Hougang Secondary on July 8, while Anderson will face Presbyterian High on July 10. Both games will be played at the Singapore Basketball Centre.
