CCAB, Saturday, June 7, 2014 — Singapore Schools (U18) picked up their second straight victory with a 65–0 win over Combined ITE in the National Tertiary Rugby Tournament.

This mini tournament features the cream of the crop from the A and B Division rugby tournaments and also the polytechnics and ITE. There are four teams participating: Singapore Schools (U18), Singapore Schools (U16), Combined Schools (Polytechnic) and Combined ITE.

Singapore Schools (U18) dominated possession throughout the whole game, leaving Combined ITE with very little chances to attempt a try.

In the first half, Singapore Schools (U18) scored three tries and converted two of them to establish a 19-0 lead. The second half saw them rack up eight more tries with three conversions to seal an emphatic win for the Singapore Schools (U18) team.

Singapore Schools (U18) captain Matthew Quek said, “It was a good learning point and helped everyone greatly as we worked on our fundamentals.”
