Anglo-Chinese School (Independent), Monday, March 31, 2014 — Raffles Institution (RI) maintain their early lead in the game to beat Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) 9–1 in the 3rd/4th playoff of the National A Division Boys Water Polo Championship.

Kenneth Nah (RI #9) and Bradley Windley (RI #7) led with four and three goals respectively, while Harold Tan (ACS(I) #9) scored a consolation goal for ACS(I).

Cheng Jue Fei (RI #11) and Kenneth Nah (RI #9) dominated much of the entire game with their surges into the ACS(I) area. Their exploitation of the open spaces in the ACS(I) defence allowed them to take control in the first half as they built a 5–0 lead.

ACS(I) regrouped in the second half with a better defense as they threw themselves at the RI shot attempts. By doing so, the ACS(I) players were quick to restart attacks but were disappointed by their failure to beat the 30-second shot clock.

“This being our last game of their water polo season, we were demoralised to miss out on the finals. However the focus was on finishing the match well and we played it like a brand-new match,” said Bradley Windley (RI #7).
