Clementi Sports Hall, Monday, June 25, 2012 – Bukit Panjang Government High School opened their campaign with a 45-11 win over Dunearn Secondary in the West Zone C Division Boys’ Basketball Championship.

Bukit Panjang got the first points of the game through team captain Shawn Ee (#7). Bukit Panjang continued their domination to lead 20-6 lead by half-time.

A combination of stoic defending by Bukit Panjang and poor shooting by Dunearn, saw Dunearn restricted to no points in both the first and last quarters.

Four consecutive three-pointers by Ang Zi Yang (#9) in the final quarter sealed the victory for Bukit Panjang.

Bukit Panjang captain Shawn Ee said: “I was happy about the team’s cooperation on court, as well as our improved performance.”

Bukit Panjang will next face their main competitor in the group, Jurong West Secondary on Friday, June 29th, while Dunearn will aim to keep their second round hopes alive when they meet Chua Chu Kang Secondary on Wednesday, July 4th.
