Jurong West Sports Hall, Friday, March 27, 2009 – Nanyang Girls’ High School kick started their National B Division Basketball Championship campaign with a 56-37 victory over Anderson Secondary in Group A.

The West zone runners-up had unexpectedly lost their first game 40-64 to Dunman Secondary and now have an overall 1-win and 1-loss record.

Their next match will be a do-or-die game against Cedar Girls’ Secondary next Friday. Cedar Girls’ are also in a similar position, having lost to Dunman 34-67.

With Anglican High and Chung Cheng High (Main) also doing well in their respective groups so far, the East Zone girls’ teams are giving a good account of themselves.
