River Valley High School, Thursday, January 22, 2009 – River Valley High won their two most crucial games against Nanyang Girls' High and Clementi Town by narrow margins to secure the lead in Group C of the B Division West Zone Netball Championship.
River Valley High started their season well by winning their first game against Clementi Town 23-22. In their second game against Nanyang Girls’, River Valley High triumphed 21-19.
In Group D, Zhenghua Secondary disappointed their fans after an unexpected defeat against NUS High. Last year, Zhenghua had beaten NUS High.
Zhenghua took a two point lead in the first quarter, but NUS High fought back to level the scores at half-time. Luck did not seem to be on Zhenghua’s side during the third quarter. Zhenghua lost three main players during the second half due to injury and with three players down, NUS High managed to take the lead with ease. They won the game 22-15.

Hi anonymous, I think it’s quite unfair for you to accuse our writer of coming up with “Pathetic excuses”. In any case, she is not a member of either school and would be fair in writing the story.
