CCAB, Thursday, May 8, 2008 – Nanyang Junior College beat Temasek JC 2-0 in an A Division Boys Volleyball Championship match which would determine who emerged champions of the group. The match promised to be an exciting one even during the warm-up session. Powerful spikes were thrown, with both sides engaging in a show of one-upmanship and large groups of cheering supporters. However during the game, NYJC's attacks were quick and deadly and left TJC scrambling to find some form of order in their half of the court. TJC lost steam in the last part of the first set but showed incredible sportsmanship in the end of the second set by doing their best to slow the 2007 champions from reaching the 25th point.

TJC lacked much in their defense, allowing NYJC to exploit them in this game as well as in the final which saw them meet again. NYJC steamrolled TJC 3-0 in an easy game at Toa Payoh Sports Hall today. Nevertheless, TJC definitely put up a commendable fight against NYJC, but they somehow could not stop NYJC from taking the crown again.
