A downpour midway in the game did not stop the defending champions from securing their second win of the season.
The win for ACS(I) comes after their opening 12–15 loss to St. Andrew's Secondary last week.
A penalty by Morgan Owain Rhys (#10) was all it took to help the Saints overcome closest rivals ACS(I), sending a clear message to the defending champions that they were not the same team from previous season.
ACS(I) endured a nervy second half to eventually beat SAJC 12–5 in the final of the National A Division Rugby Championship.
The victory also marks a significant milestone in the school's history, where they celebrate a grand slam – titles in all three divisions in the National Schools Tennis Championships.
Last year's silver medalists, ACJC remain undefeated in the championship after a 66–25 win over ACS(I).
With this win, HCI top group B to remain undefeated while ACS(I) settles for second of group. Both teams will advance to the second round.
