Rosol upset second seed Soeda while Lipsky and Martin clinch men’s doubles title at Singapore ATP Challenger

25-year-old and 162-ranked Lukas Rosol from the Czech Republic scored one of his best career wins as he knocked out 119-ranked and the second seed of the tournament Go Soeda of Japan, to set up a title clash with former world No. 20 Dmitry Tursunov in the Men’s Singles final of the Singapore ATP Challenger 2011.

Seeds survive scare to advance to round two at Singapore ATP Challenger 2011

Even though the incessant rains caused delays lasting more than three hours, third seed Italian Paolo Lorenzi and fifth seed Lukas Rosol from the Czech Republic manage to survive scares to advance to round two at the Singapore ATP Challenger 2011, while Singaporean born American Michael Yani, who was granted a wild card, provided a silver lining to a rather gloomy day when he beat New Zealander Artem Sitak to advance to round two.

ASEAN Football Championship: Lasers distract Indonesia as they go down 3-0 to Malaysia in first leg final

Malaysia beat favourites Indonesia 3-0 with a three-goal blitz in 12 minutes in the final of the ASEAN Football Championship (AFF Suzuki Cup). However, the game was shrouded in controversy as laser pointers aimed at the Indonesia players forced the referee to stop the game for five minutes in the second half.
