Cedar Girls' Secondary are through to their first final since 2010 with a 3–0 (25–21, 25–9, 25–13) win over Nanyang Girls' High School in the National C Division Girls Volleyball Championship.
Catholic High found themselves down 1–2 at one point in the match, but were able to win the next two sets to clinch a place in the final.
Mohammad Mikha Khaleel Haat [ACS(I) #8] led the way with four tries, while Josh Quan [ACS(I) #11] added a hat-trick of tries.
Muhammad Aizuddin (Greenridge #7) started the game off well, creating a lot of space for his team early on. Greenridge were able to capitalise on the size of their forward pack early to push.
Regent Secondary took out Junyuan Secondary 17–0 to clinch third place in the National C Division Rugby Bowl Championship. Both teams met earlier in the competition, with Regent taking that game 55–0.
The win puts Cedar Girls' at the top of Group X with a 1–0 win-loss record, while St Hilda's Secondary fall to a 0–1 win-loss record.
The win puts NYGH at the top of Group Y with a 1–0 win-loss record, while Dunman are at the bottom with a 0–1 win-loss record.
Fairfield Methodist now lie at the top of Group C with a 2–0 win-loss record, while Manjusri have an 0–2 win-loss record and are at the bottom of the group.
