North Zone ‘B’ Division Girls
Yishun Secondary vs Deyi Secondary
Wednesday, 28 February 2007

This update is provided to us by Red Sports reader, Miza, an ex-Yishun footballer.

Though it was raining heavily, the Yishun girls manage to score the first goal by Nur Lydiana (no.23). Then Yishun gave away penalty to Deyi which was scored by Lin Min (no.7) to bring the score level to 1-1. The second half was a great one! Yishun scored again through Nur Ainina (no.13) but a few minutes later Yishun conceded a penalty and once again Lin Min took it and did not waste the chance to move her team ahead to 2-1. But it was not over! Yishun had a penalty but wasted it as Nur Lydiana could not score because the goalkeeper saved it. So the final score was 2-2.

Comment on the ‘B’ Division Boys game between Yishun and Sengkang: About the Sengkang Sec vs Yishun Sec game, I personally think Sengkang deserved to win because their ball posession was greater than Yishun’s. Sengkang’s attacks were good but they wasted good chances. It was an exciting game! At the end of the game, I saw disappointed looks on the faces of the Sengkang players, especially their captain, Khair.
