YOG U15 vs U18

There will not be much changes made to the starting 11 as Kadir said he is already “80% settled” with his team. However he will want his team overcome to another weakness — nervousness.

“From my experience at AYG, they can play but they are nervous,” he said. “That’s why we have a psychologist on board to overcome that. If they are not nervous, I’m confident they will do well.”

The Cubs will play three more warm-ups prior to the YOG, one against the Singapore U-16 boys and two against Centre of Excellence (COE) club teams. With less than a month to the games, coach Kadir will not only have to find the right solution soon but also the unenviable task of choosing which players to drop.

The current 23-man squad will have to be culled to 18 for the YOG.
