Jurong Secondary received a boost in their quest to the championship final after they defeated Dunman Secondary in their first round Group B match at the National B Division girls’ volleyball championship. Dunman, who are the 2010 defending champion and current East Zone champion, conceded to Jurong 2-0 (25-21, 25-17). In the other Group B match, Xinmin Secondary brushed off Yuying Secondary 2-0 (25-11, 25-12).
Unity Secondary continued their march in the National B Division Basketball Championship with an 83-49 win over Yuying Secondary.
